TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS

Training on topics like : Settlement of industrial disputes, legislation on industrial relations, prevention of industrial action, legislation-laws-regulations, CLA (PKB) and corporate regulations, wage systems, are most popular. The programs are organised by APINDO at different levels, and participants comprise managers in charge of personnel affairs in APINDO members as well as non-member companies.

Productivity, Quality control, Occupational Safety and health, Wage Systems, Taxation System, Environmental protection, are also popular topics which could attract sufficient participation in seminars. Social security/insurance systems are also most interesting topics.

A most important training program is the so called “HIP", generally conducted by an enterprise or a group of companies coordinated by APINDO for information and discussions on the Pancasila Industrial Relations, and the implementation in enterprises and in the society. The district of Bogor APINDO has successfully organised 33 courses in the last ten years, with participants comprising managers and union leaders.

With the increasing number of permanent staff at the APINDO offices at national/provincial/district level, APINDO also organises special training programs for executive secretaries and other staff member of the organisation.

Speakers and tutors are widely available, either form within APINDO itself or experts from universities and the Ministry of Manpower, while foreign experts are generally also most welcome.

Some of the training programs are organised by APINDO itself, others are undertaken in cooperation with the Government, domestic educational institutions, employers organisations in Japan (Nikkeiren - NICC), Australia (ACCI), Korea (KEF), Singapore (SNEF), Malaysia (MEF). Strong support and assistance is also received from ILO (Geneva, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta).
