MEMBERSHIPS

Membership to APINDO includes private as well as stateowned enterprises, and further also cooperatives. At the moment about 9100 companies are registered as regular members to organisation spread throughout the country.

Registration for membership could be either at the national/central board or the provincial/district level of the organisation. Issuance of the certificate of membership is by the national board and commencing in October 1991 also countersigned by the provincial board.

Each regular member has the right.

a. To vote and speak in meetings of organisation

b. To forward opinions and suggestions, orally as well as in written, for he benefit and progress of the organisation.

c. To receive guidance, technical assistance and information.

d. To receive assistance and consultation in the P4P or P4D (industrial disputes settlement committees) or arbitration and others in matters related to industrial relations.

e. To attend conferences and meetings of the organisation.

f. To defend or to defended against sanctions.

Each regular member is obliged

a. To abide the constitution and by-laws of the organisation and decisions taken by organisation.

b. To uphold the good reputation the organisation.

c. To pay dues and contributions.

In May 1991, within the frame of an agreement among KADIN-APINDO-SPSI (the National Trade Union) for a nationwide drive to enhance the implementation and culturalisation of Pancasila Industrial Relations, it was among others jointly encouraged/persuaded to all enterprises to joint APINDO membership.
